Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Adventures is the Hervey Bay tour arm of the Pacific Whale Foundation, a whale research and conservation organisation founded in 1980 that says it has worked in Hervey Bay since 1984. Its Australian operation describes itself as a registered Australian charity, with ticket sales supporting its research, education and conservation programmes. The operator states: "Whale sightings are guaranteed (July 16 – Oct 9), if you don't see whales (an unlikely occurrence), we'll give you a free return ticket good for up to one year." Other lines on its site give 15 July as the start. Outside that window, no guarantee applies. Pacific Whale Foundation does not offer whale swims.
