Its catamaran, also called Spirit of Hervey Bay, is 24 metres long and 10 metres wide, built in Hervey Bay, and the operator calls it "Hervey Bay's largest Vessel". It leaves twice a day from July to October for a four-hour cruise, and each hull has an underwater viewing area below the waterline. The Queensland Government names August to October as the main whale-watching window.

The tours overview says the half day is "From" A$140, while the adult voucher is A$155; the site does not say which fare the lower figure applies to. The K'gari (Fraser Island) days in the combos are run by partner 4WD companies, not by Spirit. The boat: big, fast and stable
The operator's figures: 24 m × 10 m, a cruising speed of 22 knots, hydrophones, "two underwater viewing areas … in each hull", a waterline platform, and four toilets. The number of decks varies between its own pages (from five decks over four levels to six over five), so we will just say multiple viewing decks.
What that means for you:

- Speed. At 22 knots, less of your four hours goes on transit to the whale grounds.
- Crowd. A big deck carries more people. The operator does not publish a passenger cap for whale cruises.

The homepage currently advertises a promo code for bookings made before mid-October, and the family fare (A$435 for two adults and two children) saves A$25 on four single tickets. For whale cruises, the operator states a "NO cancellation fee policy": give 24 hours' notice if possible for a full refund. That is the most relaxed whale-cruise policy among the operators we reviewed.
